The Sustainable Eco Conference Venue
Green and Away is Britains’s only eco-friendly tented conference centre offering groups, companies and organisations an inspirational and creative space for conferences, awaydays, team building events, seminars, meetings and much more.
We are an educational charity formed to support organisations and businesses who want to become more eco-friendly, by experiencing sustainable living at first hand. Every summer we host events in our tented village to give people a chance to experience living and working together in a sustainable community. Over the 20 years of running Green and Away, it’s dedicated team of trustees has honed, grown and developed the project so that it is now the most inspirational venue with the least environmental impact.
Event organisers can make full use of our eclectic collection of meeting spaces ranging from a large marquee to seat 140 to a yurt meeting room or our strawbale sitting room – great for creative thinking. We source our food and equipment from suppliers who are local, organic, fairtrade, recycled or sometimes all four. Our kitchen
Delicious fresh food
provides three delicious meals a day with homemade bread and cakes. And where-ever you are on site, you are aware of nature, its beauty and our human impact on the world.
Seminars and Workshops
We can provide a wide range of team building activities and workshops including wild food walks, bushcraft and shelter construction, breadmaking, leather making, clothes revamping, conservation projects, and more. We also have experts who can deliver seminars in the fields of sustainable agriculture, sustainable finance, natural nutrition, environmental auditing, sustainable overseas development work and ecological building.
Carbon Footprint
We aim to be carbon postive by keeping our carbon input to a minimum, growing trees and food on site and helping others to lower their carbon footprint as a result of their time with us. We are the conference centre where there is nothing to offset except your travel!
